“I Woof you!” 5 Ways To Treat Your Pet This Valentine’s Day

Are you guiltily of pampering your pooch more than your loved one? We are all guilty of giving ourDog Love four-legged friends a little extra loving… but who can blame us, they are just too cute! As February 14th approaches, skip the stress of dinner reservations and overpriced flowers and show your pup some “puppy love”.

Sometimes just saying “I woof you” isn’t enough! So, what can you do with your dog this Valentine's Day? Here are 5 ways to show your pet a little extra love:

1. Pamper spa day:

Whose pooch loves a good pamper session? This can be anything from a splash in the tub, belly rub or a good grooming session. Your four-legged friend will look fresh and feel fabulous. Treat your furry friend to a relaxing bath with some sweet- smelling doggy shampoofollowed by a puppy pedicure! Bath time can be a little chaotic so choose a calming scent like lavender or mint for the ultimate relaxing spa-like treatment. After his bath simply pop on his favourite dog drying coat while you enjoy the bubbles yourself.

If your pooch isn't really the bath type there are other ways for him to enjoy the pampering he deserves. Why not take him to his favourite groomers to get a smart trim? While he is being pampered it leaves you with some time to head over to your nearest spa for a little TLC yourself.

Dog Bed2. Pick out a new toy:

A dog can never have too many toys, right? Toys that allow your hound to fetch, tug, chew, squeak or snuggle up with are guaranteed to keep tails wagging! Is your dog’s ever-expanding toy collection looking a little tatty and chewed? Then there is no better time to replace them! From a squeaky bouncy ball that provides hours of fun and entertainment to cuddly plush toys, he can cuddle up with why not enjoy some retail therapy and let your pooch tag along to pick out the perfect treat this Valentine!

3. New bed day:

Does your pooch enjoy spending the day snoozing? The average dog sleeps for around 12 hours a day and that's a lot of time curled up in one place! Your fur friend deserves to sleep in style so why not treat him to a new cosy yet durable dog bed, something they can curl up in while feeling cosy and snug while you sit back and relax watching your favourite film!

4. Scrummy Pupcakes:

Treat your pooch to some doggilicious dog-friendly pupcakes! Nothing says I woof you like a tasty treat that your dog is bound to love! Keeping your pooches tail waggling and your doggy feeling more special than ever. Don’t leave yourself empty handed - are you a chocoholic or do you have more of a sweet tooth? Pick youself out a big ol’ box of Valentine's Day chococlates or a hamper of love hearts from your best furry friend. Pupcakes

5. Walkies:

‘Walkies’ is every dog’s love language, and whispering this in your pooch’s ear is sure to start his tail wagging! Wrap up warm and put on your favourite pair of wellies while taking a stroll through the countryside playing fetch and paddling in muddy puddles! Burn off those Puppacinos and relax while spending time with man’s best friend. You could even pop out and pick him a new LED collar attachment that comes in handy on those gloomy February nights.
